Scottish Deerhound General Appearance:

The Scottish Deerhound is a sighthound with a similar build to the Greyhound, but much larger and with a wiry grey coat. Bred as a deer hunter, these powerful dogs weigh up to 110 pounds and stand at 32 inches from the withers. The Deerhound has soft facial hair which can resemble a beard or mustache!

Scottish Deerhound Temperament:

The Scottish Deerhound is a gentle dog breed with a kind and calm temperament. A natural galloper, the Deerhound loves to run full steam across a field or large open space. They do best in households with a large outdoor area for them to play in. Scottish Deerhound puppies can be chewers, especially if they’re not exercised properly!
