English Pointer General Appearance:

The English Pointer is a medium to large-sized hunting dog which weighs between 20 and 70 pounds. Male English Pointers measure from 22 to 28 inches from the withers, and females clock in between 23 to 26 inches. They have a sturdy, muscular frame with a long, rectangular face. The coat is short and glossy, with a white base and liver, lemon, orange or black markings.

English Pointer Temperament:

Pointers are highly intelligent, athletic, and even-tempered, with aggression almost never occurring in this breed. Loyal and loving, the Pointer needs to feel like a part of the pack, so they will enjoy spending time inside the home with family.

Originating from England, the first Pointer appeared in 1650.
