Old English Sheepdog General Appearance:

The Old English Sheepdog is instantly recognizable by their trademark white-and-grey shaggy coat. The Old English Sheepdog is a large dog, which weighs between 60 to 100 pounds and measures 20 to 24 inches from the withers.

They have a thick double coat with a water-resistant undercoat. Expect plenty of shedding from this shaggy pup! Although the traditional Old English Sheepdog is black and grey, the coat can come in a variety of colors, including blue merle, grizzle, black, and blue with white markings.

Old English Sheepdog Temperament:

The Old English Sheepdog is one of the least aggressive dog breeds in the world. They’ve been known to try and “herd” young children by gently bumping into them! Despite their history as a herding dog, they can be couch potatoes and only require moderate exercise.
