Called a Toller for short, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is a gorgeous golden dog. Tollers are smaller than the Golden Retriever, but frequently mistaken for the breed. Males weigh between 44 and 51 pounds, and females are smaller at 37 to 44 pounds. From the withers, they measure 19 to 20 inches for males, and 19 to 19 inches for females. The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever has a majestic red coat, which ranges from a golden red to a dark coppery shade. The Toller has a fox-like face and a soft, silky, medium length coat.
